James Morgan

Bachelor of Applied Science (Human Biology)
Master of Osteopathy

After graduating in Auckland with my Master of Osteopathy, I moved to earthquake struck Christchurch. There I experienced the deadly quake in February 2011. For three and a half years I learnt through experience about PTSD, stress, and what it does to society and the human body. In July 2014 I moved to Newcastle, and four and a half years later began to work for myself from home in Edgeworth, where I established Edgeworth Osteopathy.

I work as a mainly Structural Osteopath, focusing on the muscles and joints, including joint manipulation (for adults, not babies). I have also been furthering my education in Visceral Osteopathy, following my interest in conditions such as irritable bowel, and how the emotions and structures of the body connect together.

The canvas prints in the waiting room and my treatment room are photos I have taken in New Zealand and Australia. During COVID I had a few of my favourite photos printed so that I could change them from time to time, as "A change is as good as a holiday," and COVID restrictions have made going on an actual holiday a bit more difficult!
